About Sibasis
I am an Engineer in Metallurgical and Mineral Processing sector. I have been giving private lessons since 1998. I have a Bachelor degree (Honours) & Master degree in Chemistry. I have received a PhD degree in Metallurgical Thermodynamics. I have an MBA degree from the UQ Business School, Australia.
I have worked in the number of world-class laboratories and industries in Australia, Germany, France and India with experienced researchers. I have a good record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and have addressed successfully many diverse audiences in national & international conferences. I am working as an editorial board in the International Journal of Advances in Engineering and Technology. I believe that the primary goal of any educator is to trigger the interest in students for life-long learning and develop in them a sense of responsibility to seek knowledge. I am not a believer in spoon-feeding. I would rather challenge the students with problems to think. I believe in a rigorous education that equips the students with skills needed to identify and solve real-life science & engineering problems. However, I am also a believer in simplicity. I personally believe that a teacher is responsible for presenting the course material to generate a better interest among the students. In summary, my teaching will be based on the following principles:
• Cultivate active and deep learning
• Develop a systematic approach to problem-solving
• Incorporate inter-disciplinary system perspectives
• Encourage independent class projects
• Develop strong communication skills in students
