About Shanika
As a 23-year-old Veterinary Medicine student entering my clinical years, I bring a mature perspective and a deep commitment to this lifelong dream. My journey has given me the time and clarity to fully dedicate myself to this field. I firmly believe that with the right resources tailored to their individual learning styles, every student has the potential to excel. My approach is rooted in patience, understanding that not everyone grasps concepts immediately. I’m here to explain things as many times as necessary, ensuring the material truly resonates. There’s no such thing as a stupid question—learning is a process that requires perseverance, drive, and ambition from both sides. Together, we can achieve great things.

I employ a variety of resources, including notes, PowerPoints, textbooks, diagrams, flashcards, and videos, to accommodate different learning styles. Given the information-dense nature of these subjects, I focus on teaching in a way that promotes the gradual transfer of knowledge into long-term memory, helping students stay calm and focused as exams approach. My lessons are typically one hour long, and I begin by discussing your goals, expectations, and preferred learning style to ensure the sessions are tailored to your needs. I have one year of experience tutoring students in the year below me in my course, which not only reinforces my own understanding but also boosts their confidence. I am happy to teach anyone with a general interest in these topics, as well as students from related fields such as medicine, nursing, and dentistry.
