About Mathapelo

Hello everyone!

My name is Mathapelo Motsepa ,and I’m excited to be your English teacher. I have a background in Tourism Management , and I’ve always had a passion for languages and communication.

I’m especially interested in teaching English because I believe that language is one of the most powerful tools we have to connect with others. By learning English, you’re not just gaining a skill—you’re opening doors to new cultures, opportunities, and friendships around the world.

I love helping students grow in their confidence and ability to express themselves in English, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're just starting out or want to improve your skills, I hope to make this learning journey both fun and rewarding for you.

I look forward to getting to know each of you and seeing you progress as we learn together!

About the lesson

1. Focus on Practical Communication**:
- The lesson plan emphasizes real-world English skills by teaching students to introduce themselves, a practical and essential communication tool. This ensures that learners can immediately use what they've learned in everyday situations.
2. Interactive and Engaging
- The lesson incorporates **multiple interactive elements** like pair work in breakout rooms, repetition practice, and live feedback. This keeps students engaged and motivated, which is especially important in an online environment where students can easily become distracted.

# 3. **Balanced Skill Development**:
- It includes a mix of **speaking, listening, reading, and writing** activities. This comprehensive approach ensures students develop all the essential language skills, rather than just focusing on one.

# 4. **Personalized Attention**:
- The use of breakout rooms for pair activities allows you to give students **individualized feedback** and check their progress in smaller groups, which can be more challenging in a typical online classroom setting.

# 5. **Adaptability**:
- The lesson plan is easily adaptable to different learning levels and group sizes. You can adjust the complexity of the vocabulary, the length of the dialogues, or the difficulty of the reading/writing tasks based on your students’ proficiency.

# 6. **Engaging Homework**:
- The homework assignment (recording a self-introduction video) is creative and encourages students to practice **speaking in a real-world context**. This helps build their confidence and ensures learning continues beyond the classroom.
7.Clear Structure with Visual Aid’s
- The use of visuals, slides, and simple reading texts makes the content more accessible, which is especially important for beginner-level students. Visual aids help reinforce vocabulary and concepts, aiding comprehension in an online format.
