About Charles
(CURRENTLY NOT TAKING NEW STUDENTS)
I went through the basic BC curriculum and have taken most of the Chem, Bio, Math, and Physics courses. On top of that, I have taken numerous AP exams throughout high school (Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Human Geography, English Language, World History). I can assist in any levels of high school science/mathematics coursework, and I also offer college-prep advice if you'd like. If you're looking for help with AP/IB exams, I can provide guidance on any of the ones listed above, and I can also help you with AP/IB Physics or Calculus since it is the bulk of my degree.
My native language is Mandarin Chinese (although I will admit my English is more fluent after spending years of education under English), so if you need translation, I can provide that as well!

Hello! My name is Charles and I am currently doing my undergrad degree in Engineering Physics at UBC, and I would love to assist you on this journey to academic excellence! I'm here to offer tutoring in all levels of pre-calculus math and calculus as well as any high-school level physics/chemistry/biology.
I was very much in your shoes a year and maybe even a few months ago, so I fully understand how hard it was to grasp the concepts of acid-base equilibria in Chemistry 12. I will help guide you through the processes of picking these concepts up in a non-judgmental way.
Many students often realize that although they seem to enjoy the topics they are learning, they still end up failing exams and struggling in the course. What I strive to do as a tutor is to help find that fine balance between appreciation for the topic and application for test-taking. I hope you can walk out of this with high marks and a newfound love for math/physics/whatever you'd like me to tutor you in!
