About Heather

My goal is to help you become more than just competent—I want you to become confident, compassionate, and prepared for every interaction, whether it’s with a dog, cat, rabbit, or client on the other side of the exam table. With my background in animal handling, communication, client education, and years of professional experience, you’re learning from someone who’s been there, done that—and still loves every second of it.

About the lesson

When it comes to animal education and communication, you want someone who’s not only knowledgeable—but who also understands the human-animal connection on a deeper level. With real-life experience working hands-on in veterinary medicine and animal care, I’ve spent years learning how to read animal behavior, communicate effectively with clients, and build trust with even the most nervous patients (and their owners!).

I don’t just teach facts—I teach practical, real-world skills that help you understand why animals behave the way they do and how to respond with confidence, empathy, and professionalism. Whether you’re a student in a veterinary program, a new animal care professional, or someone who just wants to understand animals better, I’m here to guide you through it with patience and clarity.

This has been such a great experience! She is so patient when you don’t understand something. She makes sure to learn how you learn best and formulates her teaching around that.

She made me feel comfortable from the very first session and never once made me feel embarrassed for needing help or asking questions.

She explains things clearly and breaks down complex material in a way that makes it easy to understand and remember. Her patience and encouragement gave me the confidence to keep going, even when I felt overwhelmed.

What I appreciated most was how flexible and understanding she was with my busy schedule. She truly tailors her approach to fit your needs, whether you’re brushing up on basic skills, prepping for a test, or working toward a long-term goal.
