About Mikaela
I am a Penangite who graduated from Dalat International School and will study at the University of British Columbia in September. I have tutored six students over the course of two years in Math, Chemistry, and Physics. With my help, one raised her SAT score by 100 points, and one went from a D to B grade in Chemistry. My Math SAT score is 760, my Math II SAT Subject Test score is 790, and my Chemistry SAT Subject Test score is 750. I achieved a 4 on the AP Chemistry exam.

I have never met a single student who is actually stupid. There are only students who cannot learn well in the conventional education system; regardless of their grades, I have found every student to be bright, with a different way of understanding concepts. It gives me joy to tailor a personalized teaching approach to each student. Aided by my patient and compassionate tutoring style (many of my students have come to consider me as their friend), every student under my tutelage will flourish and thrive, assured of academic success.

Mikaela helped me significantly improve my SAT score, this helped me get into my goal university! She never stopped helping me until I fully understood concepts and she always worked to ensure that my study plan was very personal and well suited for me. I highly recommend Mikaela as a trustworthy maths tutor, she will put in the hours and her patience will go a long way in helping future students succeed.
She was able to relate the things I'm interested about in the material like Chemistry and Geometry. She made the lessons really fun and understandable! If you don't understand something she always makes sure to explain it differently. Her notes help as well as trustworthy study guides. She's also very kind, patient, and funny. I was really happy to have her as my tutor.
