About Denise
I always thought I would like to be a teacher, but I worked in a number of different jobs before returning to education as a mature student. I completed my undergraduate with the intention of doing a master's in education, and that is what I did. Teaching is my passion and my main driving force is seeing students do well, mastering a new skill and seeing them become proud of their own achievements. I will strive to support any student in a holistic way.

Lesson length can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I am a qualified, registered teacher with the Teaching Council for the subjects History and German. Methodologies include language retention techniques and visuals for both subjects, activities for both, and use of timelines in history to improve understanding of chronology. I am a post-primary teacher (ages 12-18 approx.) but have taught language modules at primary school (ages 8-12 approx.)
