About Thomas
My name is Thomas Heckler, and I am a third year student at UCF studying Kinesiology. I have been tutoring since I was a sophomore in high school, and I love getting to help others succeed. As a student myself, I know that schoolwork, and preparing for college, can be extremely stressful. So, as your tutor, I will always be in your corner to help ease this stress and make sure you are ready to perform your best!

As a tutor, my approach is centered around personalized learning and active engagement. As a student, I know that studying can be super boring, so I try to make each session as engaging as possible.
Methods and Techniques:
- Tailored Approach: I assess each student's strengths and areas for improvement, and customize lessons to suit their individual learning style and pace.
- Interactive Learning: I incorporate a mix of guided instruction, practice problems, and real-time feedback to keep students as engaged as possible. This not only helps with the learning process, but also teaches students to apply their knowledge to ensure they grasp all concepts.
- Active Participation: I encourage students to ask questions and explain concepts in their own words, which strengthens their understanding and retention.
Overall, my goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed academically. I think I can best help middle school and high school kids, especially anyone preparing for the SAT. I know what it takes to succeed on these exams and I am excited to help other students reach their college entrance potential!
