  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I began playing chess as a child, initially as a fun hobby. Over time, I discovered that every move in chess tells a story and has a purpose and plan behind it. This realization turned chess into my passion and an integral part of my daily life. It has taught me patience, focus, and creative thinking, which I now enjoy sharing with my students.
  • Which artists or works inspire you the most?

In chess, I deeply admire Garry Kasparov for his energy and thorough preparation, Magnus Carlsen for his creativity and composure, and Vishy Anand for his humility and timeless elegance. Beyond chess, I am inspired by anyone who continuously strives to improve in their craft, be they musicians, athletes, or dedicated teachers.
  • What are the specific qualities or skills required to succeed in this area?

Succeeding in chess demands patience, consistency, and a strong sense of curiosity. It requires a love for problem-solving and the courage to learn from mistakes, as every error is a valuable lesson. As a coach, empathy is crucial — recognizing each student’s unique mindset and helping them progress at their own pace truly makes the difference.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

Instead of chasing perfection, focus on steady improvement. The key to success in chess or any creative endeavor is to enjoy the journey. Set small goals, be consistent, and always remember your initial motivation. I often tell my students, “You don’t need to be the best; you just need to be better than you were yesterday.”
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

Chess brings me balance by challenging my mind and teaching me to remain calm under pressure. Teaching brings great fulfillment — witnessing students grow, grasp new ideas, and apply them during play is an incredible experience. It’s more than teaching; it’s sharing a mindset.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I take pride in helping beginners develop into confident and strategic players. Some have started winning local tournaments or online games after consistent training. The greatest achievement, however, is seeing students develop a genuine love for chess — when they begin studying and practicing independently, I know I’ve succeeded.
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Absolutely, many times! Some students grasp complex concepts much faster than expected. Occasionally, they come up with ideas or combinations that even surprise me. Watching their confidence grow over time, fueled by curiosity and creativity, continually reminds me why I love teaching.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

My secret lies in making learning personal and engaging. I don’t teach chess mechanically; instead, I tailor each lesson to the student’s thinking style. I combine practical play with fun challenges and relatable examples. My goal is simple: to help every student fall in love with learning chess and feel proud of their progress after each class.
