About Zuri
Hey there! I'm Zuri (pronounced zoo-rye), currently a sophomore on the pre-med track. Ever since my freshman year of high school, I've been deeply passionate about science, particularly the study of living organisms, the human body, and medicine. Now, as a woman in STEM, my ambition is to pursue a career in Obstetrics. Alongside my passion for women's health, I absolutely love teaching! Some of my best teachers in general biology tailored their teaching to my learning style, using visual aids to simplify complex information and enhance my understanding; I want to do the same for other learners. In my free time, I enjoy skating, scrapbooking, and nature walks!

As a biology tutor, my approach is rooted in presenting a deep understanding of the subject while also nurturing my student's critical thinking skills and comprehension. For engaging sessions, I craft detailed lesson plans and teaching techniques for individual learning styles upon request. 1. Typical Lesson Plan: - Questions, Comments, Concerns: Time for students to ask specific questions before covering material to ensure I answer their questions throughout! - Introduction: Brief overview of the topic to be covered and its relevance. - Interactive Session: Discussion-based activities, problem-solving exercises, and Q&A sessions after learning to reinforce understanding. 2. Teaching Method and Techniques: - Interactive Learning: I believe in engaging my students through discussions, problem-solving sessions, and hands-on activities. - Visual Aids: I use diagrams, charts, and written notes to enhance comprehension and retention. - Personalized Feedback: I provide feedback and support to address individual learning needs and challenges!
