About Luca

I am currently studying Computing and Software Systems at the University of Melbourne. I have completed first and second-year subjects in maths and physics (including Special Relativity & Electromagnetism, Quantum & Thermal Physics, and Vector Calculus). I achieved an ATAR of 95.25 in 2017.

Some students might find physics or mathematics difficult. The truth is anyone can learn anything if one can gain an intuition for a particular concept. My job is exactly that :)

I also teach students neat study tips and suggestions for improving exam techniques. Two fundamental skills to succeed in VCE.

About the lesson

ADHD makes learning a pain, especially in school environments that aren't very ADHD-friendly. But that's okay. ADHDers have particular traits that are sometimes useful in some instances, such as hyperfocus. So why not play the hands given to us to our advantage and see the strengths in neurodivergent brains?

The 'glass half full' mentality helped me achieve high scores during high school, going as far as even acing tests and sacs. There is always a way around any obstacle if one can fully use their creativity and be a problem-solver.

I'm a maths and physics tutor here to help anyone gain a confident grasp of maths/physics. I teach maths and physics without any convoluted jargon-filled explanations found in most textbooks, provide valuable tricks to solve maths or physics problems and use intuitive metaphors for illustrations. I can tutor VCE Physics, VCE Maths Methods, VCE Specialist Maths and, more generally, all grades from years 7-12. I study computer science at unimelb :)

Luca is very knowledgeable and has a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of maths concepts. I have known him since high school and have shared a few classes with him during our undergraduate studies in physics and mathematics. He strives to understand the intricate details of various mathematical procedures and aims to refine his understanding by making these procedures as intuitive as possible. He is also extremely friendly and is eager to help those in need, and for these reasons, I believe that he would be an outstanding mathematics tutor
