About Katerina
I am a recent graduate of a University of California college with a degree in Biology. I have informal tutoring experiences with my peers and I have mentored and tutored lowerclassmen in my major. I have experience in writing and reviewing research papers, protocols, and grant proposals. While I majored in Biology, I also took many courses in Humanities. I am available to proof-read essays and help you improve your English.
My goal is to work closely with my students to deeper their understanding of their subject, rather than simply teach them through memorization.

I believe that the best learning method for students, especially in Biology, is an interactive model meaning that I don't just focus purely on your ability to memorize routine Biology facts. I want to work with my students to ensure that they have a deeper understanding of Biology and science overall through a method where there is constant discussion of what a particular topic means. This type of learning is proven to benefit the student in their future science classes.
