About Mairi Catherine
Struggling with Maths? You’re not alone! — but with the right approach, it can get easier! I’m Mairi, a Glasgow Maths graduate with 8+ years of tutoring experience, and I help students build confidence and improve their grades.
I’m passionate about delivering interactive and engaging lessons that help students build confidence and improve their Maths skills. Whether it’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or just enjoying the subject more, I love making learning feel fun and achievable!
I’ve worked with students of all ages and abilities, so I’m well-placed to help no matter where you’re at. I’ve been told by my students that I make them feel at ease, and I believe that’s key to success in Maths. I’m approachable and patient, explaining things as much or as little as needed at each step, ensuring students feel supported and empowered. My goal is to leave students feeling like they understand more than when they came in.

Lessons are interactive, with a mix of explanations, guided problem-solving, and exam-style practice to build confidence. I focus on making Maths clear, engaging, and even fun! Sessions typically last 60 minutes, but I also offer 120-minute sessions for those wanting to dive deeper.
