About Alexa
I am a 3rd year student studying mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier University. I graduated from high-school with a 92.7% average, including a 98% in grade 12 calculus and 94% in grade 12 advanced functions. I am very familiar with the material for math courses from grade 9-12. My goal is to enrol in teachers college after I finish my BA degree in honours math and become a high-school math teacher.

My teaching methods will depend on the student. How they learn best is what I would like to incorporate in my teaching abilities. Visualization has helped me be so successful in the math department. So writing out steps, seeing exactly what to do next and how to do that will be the most important way to help them understand and remember what they are solving. Practice makes perfect so giving them plenty of exercises to work on and checking up on those will help immensely with their learning of the subject.
