About Hisham

I graduated from a magnet high school with honors and am currently pursuing an undergraduate in public health, aiming to reach medical school and begin a new chapter in my schooling career. I have spent 4 years at UMD working with my peers and professors in both classroom, laboratory, and recitation settings. I have participated in UMD research working with local mosquito populations and studying disease pathology. I am 22 so I understand how difficult it can be to relate to someone much older and I also empathize with the struggles of high school and early college. It's not easy to navigate higher education without help and I am more than happy to lend a hand.

- Structured around course load/syllabus unique to target student.

- Focus is placed on the student. I will tailor lesson plans and methodology around my individual students to best highlight their strengths and mediate potential weaknesses.

- I try to devote every lesson to a unique concept of interest and break down what topics under this concept the student is struggling with. I will integrate any resources given to me by the student into the teaching process and make sure they are reinforcing direct topics from their classes.

- I am currently a student and have access to UMD libraries, resources, lab manuals, etc. that I can use to help students through a unique perspective.
