About Jennifer
Hi, I'm Jennifer!
I am a passionate English tutor and a Master's student at the University of Melbourne with a strong love for language, writing and helping students reach their full potential. With over 1 year of experience tutoring English, I have supported students in developing their reading, writing, essay structure and overall confidence in the subject.
Having studied English Literature in Year 12, I developed a deep appreciation for analyzing texts, expressing ideas clearly and the creativity that comes with writing. I believe English is more than just a subject, but rather a skill that builds confidence, communication and critical thinking. I love creating engaging lessons and seeing the moment when a challenging concept finally clicks for a student. My goal is to provide a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions and becoming confident writers and communicators.

Learning English should be engaging, interactive and enjoyable! I create customised PowerPoint lessons that make complex concepts easy to understand, and every lesson includes plenty of hands-on practice so students can apply what they've learnt straight away. Whether it's phonics, essay writing, reading comprehension or exam preparation, I tailor every lesson to each student's goals and learning style.
I'm a Master's student at the University of Melbourne with a background in English Literature, teaching students from primary school to Year 12. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and focus on building confidence, strong writing skills and academic success in a supportive, encouraging environment.
