Every student’s learning style and goals are unique, so lessons are always personalized to suit their needs. Initial sessions focus on identifying areas of strength and improvement to create a customized learning plan. Here is the general structure of my lessons:
Warm-Up:
- Start each session with conversational exercises to build confidence and fluency in speaking.
- Depending on the student, this can include:
- Talking about everyday topics like the date, the weather, or recent activities.
- Describing simple pictures (e.g., identifying objects, colours, or actions in the image).
- Engaging in open conversations relevant to their interests.
Focus on Student Needs:
- Transition to addressing specific concerns or areas the student wants to improve.
- Examples include reviewing homework, clarifying grammar rules, or preparing for exams.
Customized Lesson Plans:
- Create lesson plans based on the student’s progress and goals.
- Emphasize practical applications of French in speaking, writing, reading, and listening.
- Regularly review and adjust the plans as needed.
