About Kayla

I spent over four years working at my University’s Center for Reading, Learning, and Assessment while earning my BA in Theology (Summa Cum Laude, 3.9 GPA). My studies included advanced courses in English and poetry, and I also completed a graduate-level ESL teaching course. I later earned an Associate of Applied Business in Accounting from EGCC. After graduation I worked in a variety of business roles, including banking and accounting, while continuing to tutor and give private piano lessons on the side.

About the lesson

Every child should be able to open a book and become immersed in the world of imagination. I create a caring and supportive environment that encourages a child’s reading and/or English skills. My fun and flexible lesson plans meet students where they are at and encourage their growth in academics and creativity!
