About Tom
I am a Vet Student at the University of Surrey and gained an A* in A Level Biology and GCSE. I have been tutored by top science tutors in the past and plan on using their techniques to help other students achieve top grades. I have received very positive feedback from previous A level Biology students I have tutored.

My method of tutoring starts off with gaining information from the student in the areas they find most challenging. First, I would focus on these areas explaining the content in an easy to understand manner. Once the student and myself are confident that they know the material, we would tackle practice questions and past exam questions. From experience, focusing on exam technique and how to approach questions is essential. Half of each session will be learning Biology content and the other half will focus on applying the information to exam questions. For online lessons I use a graphics pad to make the session as interactive as possible. Using different teaching methods has really helped previous students to learn subject content, for example using quick fire questions, pneumonics, visual descriptions and exam question practice. Learning should be a fun, enjoyable experience and I can guarantee that my tutoring fulfils this.
