About Tonya
"Performance-focused students often believe that raw talent is the only requirement for success. My own life has been dedicated to music since childhood, grounding my approach in 9 years of experience. I earned a BMus Music Performance degree from the Royal College of Music to refine my craft. Many students perform confidently within a single term under my guidance.
I have helped hundreds of pupils achieve their goals by building technique without losing the joy of playing. This process focuses on singing as a core part of personal expression. "Pitch control is often the hardest hurdle for new vocalists to clear. I admit that even the best singers struggle with simple intervals during their first few weeks. We address this using a variety of warm-up exercises that target breathing control immediately.
You will learn to manage head and chest voice transitions while developing consistent tone and resonance. I also focus on microphone technique and sight singing to prepare you for any stage.
Vibrato control becomes a natural habit through our work together. Homework vocal drills are assigned after every session to ensure steady progress. You will receive clear instructions on how to maintain your voice between our meetings.
These exercises are quite satisfying once you hear your own improvement. The most enjoyable part is watching you gain true performance confidence."
