About Thomas
I have taught as an in-class tutor in middle school classrooms, as well as in after school homework help programs.
I started tutoring in 2011- and have an exceptional grasp on all levels of mathematics up through Multi-Variable Calculus. I have only privately tutored 2 people, but in school-settings I've tutored 30-40 students.
I love to help people understand not just teach people to complete problems, but to hone in on the conceptual and teach substance, not only steps.

Hi there,
I'm Thomas Ryan, I studied Pure and Applied Mathematics with a minor in Philosophy at Boston University. I am very articulate and am able to help people- of all abilities with a willing heart and desire to learn- comprehend math as rule-based system that it is.
Essentially math is a language, some people have a knack to speak it, and others less so. But I'm fully confident that everyone can speak the language of math with proper instruction.
My lessons are founded on this philosophy :)
