About Mary
Advanced learners and working professionals often reach a plateau in their playing. You need a shift in perspective. My 13 years of experience in the industry have taught me how to break down complex theory into manageable pieces.
I have worked with 128 students to refine their strumming patterns, power chords, and lead guitar phrasing. We focus on the history of the instrument to understand why specific blues progressions work. Songwriting becomes much easier once you understand these foundational traditions. Seeing students gain confidence with difficult barre chords is truly rewarding.

What makes these sessions enjoyable is the absence of tedious, repetitive drills that lead nowhere. I will admit that I sometimes prefer teaching history through a guitar solo rather than a dry textbook.
Every lesson includes a specific practice module to keep your momentum high throughout the week. My degree from Berklee allows me to teach music theory with a focus on real-world application for kids and adults. It is quite simple. Stop by for a session if you want to play with more intention.
