About Xian

Hello, I'm Yumi! I come from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, a small city in the south of China. My native language is Chinese and Hokkien. I have rich experience in teaching Chinese to both children and adults.
I like the idea that language can bring people new thinking, and I hope to spread traditional Chinese culture through teaching Chinese. I also used to be a children's English teacher, and I am constantly improving my English, so I understand the difficulties of language learning, and the constant repetition of memory may make people feel tired. I will customize your learning plan through communication with you. I hope we can also teachers and friends, continue to learn, and progress together!
My hobbies are swimming, table tennis, and skateboarding, and occasionally I go to yoga class. But my biggest hobby is to curl up on the couch and watch TV to recharge my batteries. How about you?

About the lesson

I have 2 years of teaching experience, Mandarin is my mother tongue, and I hold a Chinese high school teacher qualification certificate. My teaching method is lively and active, focusing on strengthening daily oral Chinese and writing training. The commonly used teaching materials include HSK and developing Chinese. By understanding students' language levels, I can customize suitable learning plans to improve students' Chinese levels further.

Perfect! I am sure you will agree that those of us who are asked to write many recommendations, can sometimes find the task quite tedious and even boring. However, when one is asked to write about a truly life-changing individual, the task becomes almost pleasurable.

Such is the case now when I write to you on behalf of a superlative young lady, whom I have known since April 2026, when she started sharing her love for the Chinese language.

Xian's (teaching) style is full of sophisticated attention to detail. She is a winner in every way, patient, and encouraging. Xian always exuberates positive energy, ensuring that I always have a wonderful time with her.

In summary, this is an enthusiastically supportive letter. I know that Xian will be the perfect (Mandarin) teacher for anyone, and I wish you every success in attracting her! Recommending Xian as a solid A plus teacher would be an understatement.
