About Busisiwe
Hi, I’m Busisiwe! I hold a BSc in Computer Science and Computer Applications from Wits University, where I am currently completing my BCom Honours in Information Systems.
I have experience tutoring Grade 8 mathematics through Mihandzu and currently tutor a Grade 11 learner. I enjoy helping learners make sense of concepts they find challenging and become more confident in approaching maths.
As a student myself, I understand how frustrating it can feel when something does not make sense straight away. I value patience, clear explanations, and creating a space where questions are welcome. Getting to know each learner matters to me because it helps me understand the support they need and work with them towards their goals.

I take time to get to know each learner: their strengths, the areas they find difficult, and what they hope to achieve. This helps me tailor my lessons to the support they actually need. I aim to create a patient, encouraging space where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn.
My maths lessons include clear explanations, step-by-step examples, and opportunities to practise independently. We work through difficulties together, revisit foundational concepts when needed, and check understanding before moving on. My goal is to help learners understand the reasoning behind a method and build confidence in applying it themselves.
I offer lessons in English for high school learners who need support with maths, revision, or preparation for tests and exams. Each lesson is adapted to the learner’s pace, schoolwork, and goals.
