my methodology is usually I have a whiteboard as it is easy to show working clearly and can rub out mistakes and can give step by step instructions and will let student interrupt me if they are stuck on a part they do not understand and I will go through step by step with another example so they can solve the first one.
typical length of a lesson is an hour but I am willing to extend the lesson for free if they are stuck.
my qualifications are I did tutoring in my school for 3 months until I could not because of my timetable clashing with theirs.
