About Gian

Growing up in Ireland, I've always been fascinated with languages.

Whether it's learning Irish, trying to speak some French, or listening to songs in Spanish - I was always curious about what words meant and why we say the things we say.

I always said, 'If I had to choose a superpower, I'd love to know all the languages of the world.'

And somehow, that became true.

I started as an English Language Assistant in a lycée and college in Paris, France where I got a taste of teaching (while learning French).

After graduating, I decided to explore the idea of teaching where I did my CELTA and taught in my first language school called 'Castleforbes College' where I taught for 4+ years, teaching students from all over the world, from Latin America to Europe to Asia.

Now, I'm in my 5th year of teaching English in 'Apollo Language Centre' where I get to work with a great team of teachers and students, helping students understand language acquisition in a more engaging, educating, and natural way.

And who knows?

You could be next!

Our lessons focus on emergent language which means...

Your lessons are focused and tailored to your direct needs as a learner

Your grammar and vocab is going to flow naturally from your conversations

Your English is based on real-life scenarios - not academic textbook English

Your understanding, awareness, and ideas about English will grow wider and deeper with every lesson

Why?

Because emergent language is centered around who you are as a student and how you engage with the world of English.

Who are these lessons for?

For enthusiastic and energetic students who have a deep desire to understand English and really use it in their day-to-day life.

For students who are serious about taking their English to the next level

For students who are sick and tired of traditional boring classroom-style lessons, and are ready for real English

(Note: Not for people who just want grammar lessons, vocab lists, and what to say.)

How are the lessons structured for you?

15M - Chat & Conversation: Where are you now with your English and what you've been doing

30M - Language Emergence, Education, & Integration: What comes up naturally, why it happens, and how we can practice it

15M - Feedback & Focus: Where you can improve and what your next steps are

(Note: Above is a general layout of what's going to happen, every class is different as every student is different)

If you're ready and serious, apply and I'll see you inside.
