About Yvonne
Rigorous yet warm instruction defines my approach to the violin. I offer 13 years of experience as a full-time educator after my time at NEC. My background includes a Diploma in Violin and Piano Accompaniment. I specialize in working with performance-focused students and returning learners.
These groups require a precise balance of technical rigor and expressive freedom. Many of my pupils are grade exam candidates seeking clarity in their musical development. I apply the lessons learned during 10 years in youth-symphony and regional chamber ensembles. These experiences shaped my perspective on how to guide serious violinists through complex repertoire.

Holding the violin correctly while focusing on tone production creates an immediate sense of accomplishment. My students explore bowing technique and vibrato within a structured environment. We build stability through consistent work on scales and arpeggios.
Spiccato and staccato bowing become natural parts of your playing through repetitive, careful study. I incorporate ear training to sharpen your musical intuition alongside classical repertoire.
Lessons reflect the depth of my 13 years of experience in the field. I ensure each technical requirement is met with precision. This clarity helps you reach your specific performance goals.
