About Mark

"Chemistry is a precise language that dictates how life functions at the molecular level. I am an MD Candidate at Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons with 6 years of experience. I have taught over 500 students to date.

Complex topics like SN1 and SN2 reactions or NMR spectroscopy require a disciplined approach. IR and mass spectrometry often baffle students, but I break them down into clear patterns. Retrosynthesis and resonance are manageable once you understand acidity and isomerism.

Synthesis pathways and aromatic chemistry are common sticking points for many learners. Carbonyl chemistry and elimination reactions follow predictable rules that I will clarify for you."

About the lesson

"Fluency in organic chemistry mechanics ensures you gain points on the MCAT. Do you want to stop guessing and start knowing the right answers?

My approach leverages my 6 years of experience to clarify what the AAMC tests most heavily. I provide free access to my reaction-mechanism notes to all my students. These resources help bridge the gap between abstract theory and exam-day application. We work through problems together until the logic becomes second nature to you.

My background as a former Kaplan and Princeton Review instructor informs our work. What specific reaction mechanisms are causing you the most stress right now?"
