About Cristine
Teaching chess serves as a unique way to exercise the mind, and I honestly admit that the most rewarding moments occur when a student finally understands a complex tactical pattern during a game. My work focuses on positional understanding, endgame technique, and defensive technique to ensure a well-rounded foundation for any player.
I draw upon my background as a student of statistics to emphasize calculation and visualization, helping you improve your board vision and king safety. Whether you are learning to record and notate your games or perfecting your attacking play, I guide you through the intricacies of pawn structures. With 5 years of experience teaching students, I hold an MSc Statistics that informs my analytical approach to the board. I am eager to help you reach your goals in this game.

You will find that my lessons focus entirely on your current board awareness and your unique decision-making style. Seeing the board through a fresh perspective remains the most effective way to improve your overall tactical ability. I prioritize your growth by concentrating on specific weaknesses in your calculation and visualization skills. We spend time analyzing your games to pinpoint exactly where your pawn structures or king safety failed.
My 5 years of experience allow me to identify your specific blind spots very quickly. This work is quite rewarding. I genuinely enjoy watching students discover the logic hidden within the game. I hope to provide you with the tools you need to play with confidence.
