About Andy
I’m a Computer Engineering graduate from Cal Poly SLO with nearly 20 years of tutoring experience. I’ve worked with students at many different levels and know that everyone learns differently. My goal is to make challenging subjects feel approachable while building genuine understanding and confidence.
I’m patient, encouraging, and committed to meeting students where they are. Whether you’re struggling with a single concept, preparing for an exam, or looking to strengthen your overall skills, I’ll work with you to develop a clear path forward. I bring both strong academic knowledge and practical experience to every lesson.

I focus on understanding, not memorization. I break difficult concepts into simple steps, explain the “why,” and adapt my approach to each student’s learning style. A typical lesson starts by identifying gaps, reviewing key concepts, working through examples together, and then having the student solve problems independently. With nearly 20 years of tutoring experience and a Cal Poly SLO Computer Engineering degree, I bring both academic depth and practical experience. I tutor students from middle school through college, including AP courses and undergraduate math, physics, chemistry, statistics, programming, electrical, and computer engineering.
