You have concerns about your voice. Strength? Sound? Presentation? As one who has performed 30,000 personalized lessons, there is nothing I’d want more than to hear you. Truly hear you.

I have known Mark Power for over 2 years. I was referred to him by guitar virtuoso Carl Verheyen and his band members who have benefited from his expertise. Mark is an AMAZING vocalist; no style is beyond his reach. He is a vocal alchemist and will take your voice, combine it with your goals, and launch you on a path to realizing your aims. I have been very surprised with the progress I have made. Cannot over-recommend Mark Power! Also happens to be a really fine individual.

I first met Mark in 2007, on my very first trip to Seattle. I heard him sing in a musical on Bainbridge Island and was instantly blown away, only to discover that he was also a vocal coach. Soon after, I became his student and an enormous admirer of his artistry and teaching.

Coming from India, I had studied a bit of Indian classical music and had exposure to Western music, but Mark opened up an entirely new world for me vocally. Technically, he helped me understand my instrument in an entirely new way from breath and placement to resonance, range, dynamics, and how to use my voice with greater freedom and control. More importantly, he knew how to take what I already had and fuse it with where I wanted to go as an artist. The results could be heard in the recordings I went on to make with my band, Manooghi Hi.

What I appreciate most about Mark is his instinct. He hears what is happening in your voice, senses what you’re feeling, and knows exactly how to guide you toward something better. That, to me, is part of his brilliance as a teacher; his approach is never one-size-fits-all. He meets you exactly where you are.

I’ve also had the great fortune of performing with Mark and being featured on so many beautiful songs he has written, so our musical relationship has extended far beyond the lesson room.

If you’re looking for a vocal coach who will help you discover what your voice is truly capable of, Mark is that teacher. He is a master of his craft as a coach, musician, and performer with extraordinary musical knowledge and intuition. Nearly two decades after first hearing him sing, I still consider myself incredibly lucky to know him and a lifelong student of his, and I’m incredibly lucky to also call him a dear friend.

I’ve been working with Mark for over a decade. He’s helped me strengthen my voice, refine my sound, and prepare for countless performances, auditions, and recording sessions. Mark is truly the best in the biz!

Mark helped me gain confidence and strengthen my vocal cords. He was kind and encouraging. Highly recommend!
