About Anna

I love teaching languages, it's my passion! I work with adults and young people, I like building genuine relationships with my students. I have lived and worked in many different countries and I can speak five languages: Italian, French, English, Spanish and...latin !

About the lesson

I pay special attention on pronunciation. I always try to improve self-learning, by providing students with a grammar book (for free), all materials for test preparation (for example for DALF and DELF), but I also suggest various links where they can listen to podcasts, local radios and so on.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Anna.

Perfect! My daughter said that not only was she very nice, but she understood her much better than many of the other tutors. And she focused more on teaching rather than just conversation. She also has her own website that she uses to help her students learn and I think that's awesome!

I had a lesson with Charlène's daughter. She is already good at speaking French and shows a natural confidence with the language. During our session, we focused specifically on oral practice and conversation, I’m very happy to have helped her practice her speaking skills!

Find out more about Anna

Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?
I started studying French at University and I suddenly fell in love with this language. Later, I spent my first summer in Belgium and I really enjoyed it. Finally, I decided to go and study in France.
Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?
Brigitte Bardot and Alain Delon contributed to creating the stereotype of the charming and impossible French girl/guy.
Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?
I like all the expressions which refer to love, for their romantic and special pronunciation, like "je t'aime, mon amour "
Why does speaking this language matter to you?
I am spending a lot of time in France, this language has become my second language. I feel very close to French people.
What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?
The pronunciation is the most difficult aspect, it is important to practice a lot, by listening to podcasts/music, watching videos, and speaking French whenever it is possible.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.
I used to pronounce some words in the wrong way, and it was really funny for French people. For example, the word "queue", if pronounced in the English way, would mean "cul" that is "ass".
How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?
I studied at University in France and that helped me a lot. After university, I have been working fpr years between Italy and France and that also helped me to improve my skills, especially with regards to business communication and the various regional accents.
What makes you a Superprof in language?
I am a serious and reliable person, I love teaching and I love learning about new cultures. For me it is always a pleasure when a new student contacts me.
