About YF

Bonjour! My name is Yufei, and I am a passionate French tutor based in Ottawa, Canada.

I hold the DALF C2 diploma, the highest level of French language proficiency recognized by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). I also completed university studies in France, where I developed a deep understanding of the French language, culture, and everyday communication.

I have professional experience teaching French in Canada, helping students strengthen their language skills, overcome learning difficulties, and build confidence in speaking French.

As a native Mandarin Chinese speaker who is fluent in French and proficient in English, I understand the challenges of learning a foreign language from personal experience. This multilingual background allows me to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to different learners.

I am patient, approachable, and genuinely passionate about languages and cultural exchange. Whether you are learning French for school, work, immigration, travel, or personal enrichment, I would be delighted to support you throughout your learning journey.

À bientôt !

About the lesson

My French lessons are designed to be practical, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual goals and proficiency level.

I use a personalized teaching approach that combines conversation practice, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, listening comprehension, and real-life communication. Each lesson is structured around your needs, whether you want to build a strong foundation, improve your fluency, or gain confidence speaking French.

With DALF C2 certification, university studies in France, and previous French teaching experience in Canada, I bring both advanced language proficiency and an understanding of the challenges faced by French learners.

I offer lessons for beginners through advanced learners, including students, adults, and professionals. I can also help students prepare for French language examinations such as TCF Canada, TEF Canada, DELF, and DALF.

My goal is to make French learning clear, enjoyable, and effective while helping every student make measurable progress at their own pace.
