About Lacey
Hello there,
I am an OCT certified elementary teacher currently teaching Grade 5 French Immersion virtually with the HDSB. I am looking for an online tutoring position where I can continue to support and engage students safely during the pandemic after school and/or throughout the summer. I completed my Undergraduate Degree in Pyschology at Wilfrid Laurier University and the French B.Ed program at Western University.
I have my French as a Second Language Specialist designation and have been teaching junior/intermediate French Immersion for the past 4 years. I am qualified to teach French to students of any age and any other subject (English, Math, Science etc.) to Kindergarten-Grade 6.

I am well-versed in the Ontario Curriculum and assessment practices and will use this expertise to plan and provide engaging lessons and activities for your child. I have been teaching virtually full time since September and am very familiar and comfortable with technology tools used to enhance and support education. I have lots of experience with students with special needs, and students working on IEPs. I am kind, caring and patient with all of my students and my practice is always student-centred. I value relationships with my students and get to know their strengths, interests and areas of need in order to inform my teaching.
