About Omayma

Welcome to Omayma's French Tutoring Adventure!

Bonjour! I'm Omayma, your enthusiastic guide to mastering French. Moroccan-born, French-educated, now channeling my passion for marketing as an intern at a leading company in Santa Clara, I bring a vibrant mix of culture and expertise to our lessons.
Currently pursuing the last semester of my Bachelor in Business Administration at ESSEC Business School in France, I recently graduated from UC Berkeley's Innovation Management program.
Get ready for dynamic lessons tailored to your goals, whether you're just starting or striving for fluency. Let's dive into the beauty and excitement of the French language together!

About the lesson

Bonjour, Mes Amis! (Hello, my friends!)
As your quirky French tutor, I promise to make our language lessons more entertaining than a baguette juggling contest at a Parisian café!
- Teaching Method and Techniques:
Communicative Approach: Imagine us role-playing as French detectives solving croissant theft mysteries. “Mon Dieu! The missing croissants are flaky evidence!”
Grammar in Context: We’ll sneakily slip grammar rules into conversations. “Pass me the subjunctive, s’il vous plaît!”
Cultural Immersion: We’ll sip invisible café au lait while discussing French art, from Monet’s water lilies to baguette sculptures.
- Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up: We’ll start with a dramatic “Bonjour!” and a French high-five (which is just a regular high-five but with a beret).
Vocabulary and Grammar: Picture this: We’re on a French rollercoaster—uphill with new words, downhill with verb conjugations. Whee!
Listening and Speaking: We’ll decode French rap lyrics and practice rapping about croissants. “Je suis un croissant ninja!”
Reading and Writing: We’ll write love letters to baguettes and read them aloud. “Chère Baguette, tu es mon pain-perdu d’amour.”
Cultural Insights: We’ll discuss French fashion (berets, striped shirts, and invisible mustaches). Ooh la la!
Homework and Review: Your assignment? Find a French-speaking pigeon and ask it for directions to the Eiffel Tower.
What Sets Me Apart:
Personalized Approach: I’ll learn your favorite French word and incorporate it into every lesson. “Today’s theme: Fromage!”
Patience and Encouragement: If conjugating verbs feels like untangling spaghetti, fear not—I’m your spaghetti whisperer.
Creativity: Expect surprise French pop quizzes during elevator rides. “Quick, conjugate ‘croissant’ before the next floor!”
Flexibility: Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned baguette enthusiast, we’ll find your sweet spot. ️
Practical Application: You’ll leave each lesson ready to impress French-speaking llamas (they exist, trust me).
Target Audience:
All Levels: From “Bonjour” beginners to “Ooh la la” experts.
Students: Elementary, middle schoolers, High schoolers, college-goers, and anyone who secretly dreams of being a French mime.
Professionals: Business French for boardroom baguette negotiations. “Monsieur, your ROI is as flaky as a croissant!”
Specific Goals: Whether you’re prepping for a trip to Paris or just want to impress your cat with French poetry. ️
Remember, learning French isn’t just about conjugating verbs; it’s about embracing the joie de vivre (joy of life) that comes with it. So let’s raise our glasses and say, “À votre santé!”
