About Alexandra

I have been involved with horses for over 40 years. I am an ELA teacher as a primary profession and teach riding after school and on the weekends. I have great lesson horses for a variety of skill levels. I also train horses for clients. I also play and coach polo when time permits. During my summer vacation from school, I have always worked exercise riding horses at Saratoga Race Course for trainers such as Linda Rice and Todd Pletcher. The last two years I switched to outriding at the this track and use my horses for this job. Many of my horses were racehorses in their first career that I retrained to become part of my lesson program. It is a passion and feel lucky to have the opportunity to share with others.

I love teaching people to enjoy something that I have had a passion for all my life. I enjoy seeing people learn a skill that helps them find confidence in themselves and also learn to bond with an animal that gives so selflessly.

I have been riding for over 40 years. I was in pony club locally up to the C level and also competed in the hunter/jumper circuit in the hunters and then the jumpers up through the 3'6 level. I also played polo for 15 years and managed a local club and helped coach at Skidmore College. I was also captain of Skidmore Women's Polo when I was a student at Skidmore College. I also have been exercise riding racehorses for almost 20 years. I have many experiences that I draw upon to help students learn.
