About Taylor

I’m a dedicated and passionate French language tutor with a strong background in both teaching and the arts. With a double major in French as a second language teaching and French arts, I bring a deep understanding of both language and culture to my lessons. Whether I’m working with beginners or advanced learners, I focus on practical skills and real-world application, ensuring my students not only learn French but also enjoy the process.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology and Techniques My approach to teaching is interactive and student-centered, focusing on building confidence and practical skills. I use a blend of communicative methods and immersive techniques to create engaging lessons. Depending on the student’s needs, I incorporate a variety of resources, such as authentic materials (e.g., articles, videos, and real-world examples), interactive activities, and technology, to ensure an engaging and holistic learning experience. Typical Lesson Plan A typical lesson plan includes: 1. Warm-up (5-10 mins): A short, engaging activity or conversation to get the student comfortable and ready to learn. 2. Introduction to New Material (15-20 mins): Introducing new vocabulary, grammar, or concepts through a mix of visual, auditory, and interactive methods. 3. Practice (15-20 mins): Guided exercises to apply the new material, such as role-plays, discussions, or written activities. 4. Wrap-up and Review (5-10 mins): Summarizing key points from the lesson and giving homework or practice assignments to reinforce learning. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor I offer a personalized approach tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. My ability to teach in both French and English, along with my background in French language arts and teaching, allows me to create an immersive experience. I focus on building long-term skills, ensuring students not only learn the language but also gain confidence in using it in real-world scenarios. Who the Lessons Are For My lessons are for anyone looking to learn or improve their French skills. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student, I can adapt my approach to meet your needs. I specialize in tutoring high school students preparing for exams, adults learning French for personal or professional reasons, or anyone interested in learning French arts and culture. Additionally, I am equipped to help students with special learning needs or those aiming for academic success.
