About Sophia

Hi! My names Sophie and I am a third year University student at Queen's University, studying French and Philosophy. I have a passion for teaching and helping people of all ages, particularly children, which has led me to pursue teaching after my degree. In addition, I also have a strong love for the french language as I have been learning it in school since kindergarten and would love to share and teach anyone who is interested.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology includes a mix of grammar explanations, vocabulary building, and plenty of opportunities for conversation and listening practice. I often use multimedia resources, such as videos, songs, and articles, to keep the lessons dynamic and relevant.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for the French language and culture, as well as my dedication to creating personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's learning style and goals. I strive to make each lesson enjoyable and productive, helping my students build confidence in their French skills.
My lessons are suitable for learners of most levels, from beginners to intermediate. Whether you are preparing for exams, improving your conversational skills, or simply interested in learning French for pleasure, my lessons can be tailored to meet your specific needs and interests.
