About Yeondeok

Hi, I’m Yeondeok! I’m a native Korean speaker based in Seoul, and I’d love to help you learn Korean in a way that feels practical and fun.

I studied Engineering at University, then served 4 years as an Air Control Officer in the Republic of Korea Air Force. That job taught me to communicate clearly and to explain complex things step by step, and I bring the same approach to my lessons.

I’m fluent in English, and I also speak basic Mandarin and Spanish, so I know firsthand what it’s like to be a beginner in a new language. I’ve worked in customer service and sales in Korea and Canada, and I’ve volunteered overseas. Because of that, I’m comfortable teaching people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Whether you’re learning for K-culture, travel, work, or just curiosity, I’ll meet you where you are and help you keep going.

About the lesson

What we’ll cover
- Hangul (reading and writing) from scratch
- Everyday conversation: greetings, ordering food, shopping, travel
- Grammar explained simply, with plenty of examples
- Pronunciation and natural-sounding intonation
- Korean culture and real-life expressions you won’t find in textbooks

How I teach
- Lessons are tailored to your goals and level
- We speak as much Korean as possible, and I use English whenever you need clarification
- After each lesson, you get a short summary of the lesson

Linda is the best Korean tutor I’ve ever had.

The fact that she also speaks Spanish really helped me stick with her classes because I felt like we were on the same page from the beginning. We’ve also become really good friends!

I love all the conversations I have with Linda, and having Korean lessons with her feels like a privilege. Every class is fun, engaging, and exciting.
