About Maria

I am studying French and Italian and have been a private tutor for 2 years. I was born and live in London.

About the lesson

Confidence is key when studying, so I make sure students feel confident not only with what they are learning, but also in themselves. My lessons have a mixture of games, tests, and going through language “essentials” so that students stay focused and enjoy their work. I adapt and tailor each lesson plan to fit the student.

Maria has excellent subject matter knowledge, but more importantly is fantastic with children. She has just the right balance of affection and firmness.

I spent 10 years or so learning French at school and was basically useless for the entire time, scraping a pass largely thanks to Google translate. Maria’s personal way of teaching has helped me learn French far better and quicker than any teacher I’ve had growing up! Would highly recommend her anyone looking to up their French game beyond school level.
