About Brianna

I recently graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Medical Anthropology. My academic journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the subjects I aim to tutor, and my experience in medical anthropology has honed my ability to analyze and communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my dedication to creating a supportive and motivating learning environment. I strive to build a rapport with my students, understanding their unique challenges and strengths, and tailoring my instruction to meet their needs. My goal is to not only help students excel academically but also to inspire confidence and a love for learning.

My approach as a tutor is student-centered and adaptive, focusing on individual learning styles and needs. I employ a variety of teaching methods and techniques, including:

Active Learning: Encouraging students to engage with the material through discussions, problem-solving activities, and interactive exercises.

Conceptual Understanding: Emphasizing the understanding of core concepts rather than rote memorization to help students apply their knowledge in different contexts.

A typical lesson plan I create includes:

Introduction: Brief review of previous material and outline of the day’s objectives.

Core Lesson: Detailed explanation of the topic, using visual aids, real-life examples, and interactive activities to enhance understanding.

Practice: Guided practice through exercises and problems to reinforce learning.

Review and Q&A: Recap of key points and an open session for questions and clarification.
