Pauline is one of our best French tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Pauline

I have a PhD in plant genetics from one of the best French universities, but research is not what I want to do with my life anymore. I am a native French speaker and in love with this language (it is not *that* hard!)
I have 3 years of tutoring experience, and helped all my students improve their grades quickly!

About the lesson

Bonjour :)
A typical class starts with the homework check for 10 min : we review together your class" exercises and discuss them.
Then, during 10 min we can consolidate knowledge from a previous class through little fun games, quick exercises or lesson recap.
The next 35 min time block is used for learning new concepts, by a mix of lessons, Q&A, video watching, games and exercises.
Finally, during the last 5 min, we can review the class and assign homework : Was it easy? Was it hard? What did you learn?
Voilà !
For students who already follow french classes at school, I typically adapt to their current program and consolidate the knowledge of their current lessons.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can teach grade 1 to grade 12, or for adults wanting to improve their French :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a kind, patient and perfectionnist French tutor to help you in your learning journey. I have a very good attention to detail and an organized methodology.
There is nothing more rewarding to me than a student improving their level after our tutoring sessions!

Pauline is thorough in her work and effective when conveying information. She has always come into work with a positive, light-hearted attitude. Pauline is a master of creative solutions, as research never goes according to plan. I believe she would be a kind and patient teacher who would make her students feel comfortable engaging in the classroom.

It is my pleasure to recommend Pauline. I am friend with Pauline for years. I still remember when she brought me to her research lab when she was doing post doctorate genetic research on sun flower seeds, and she spoke passionately about her research project. I have no biology background at all, but somehow she was able to explain her project to me ever so clearly. She made her works sound so interesting that I wish I had taken genetics when I was in University!

I took Pauline's tutoring in biology, French, and chemistry by a friend's recommendation. I found her reliable as a tutor: always on time and well-prepared. By summarizing ideas and giving examples, she also makes the topics interesting. I was impressed with Pauline's patience when I would ask questions. She also kept me focused when there were distractions around. These techniques also helped me study better without a tutor, which especially improved my grades in biology.
