About Portlynn

Hello! My name is Portlynn, and I am a graduate of University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama. In addition to my studies, I worked as a Qualified Learning Assistant for French, where I supported students in developing their language skills and confidence. I am passionate about the French language and culture. I began learning French in 2016 and fell in love with the language. In 2019, I spent 3 months in Lyon, France learning French and continued my studies throughout university. Today, I use French in my everyday life whether it's listening to music, watching series, or talking to my French boyfriend. As a professional performer, I understand the importance of patience, adaptability, and building confidence, which I bring into every lesson. Whether you're learning French for school, travel, work, or personal enrichment, I look forward to helping you reach your goals and enjoy the learning process along the way.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for beginners and intermediate learners who want to improve their French in a supportive and engaging environment. As a former French Learning Assistant at UCI, I understand that everyone learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and learning style. We can focus on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension, reading, or homework assistance. Whether you're learning French for school, travel, work, or personal interest, I aim to help you build confidence and develop practical language skills that you can use in real-life situations. My goal is to make learning French approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding.
